Each person who is giving Qurbani, must give either one share (1/7) of a large animal such as a cow or a camel, or give a whole small animal such as a goat or a sheep. The price of a sheep for Qurbani varies depending on the location.

In commemorating the sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim (as), our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) would offer his Qurbani and then offer another on behalf of his ummah and those that could not afford to do it themselves.
